“Baddow Park House is a private country house in Essex. Built in 1890 it hosts beautiful bespoke weddings. In my role as Group Operations Manager, I’m lucky enough to spend the majority of my week at this fabulous property and the gardens that surround it”.

THE SALON
“Having the Salon completed in 2021 was very exciting.
Getting ready for your wedding ceremony can be a nerve-wracking, emotional, and laughter-filled few hours for any bride. So, we are thrilled to be able to provide a beautiful, purpose-built space where the bride and her party can pamper and prepare.
The Salon provides large comfortable sofas, separate make-up stations, mirrors, and plenty of natural light. It’s large enough for the biggest of bridal parties as well as the hairdressers and makeup artists”.
A VERY SPECIAL BRIDAL SUITE
“There are many beautiful rooms in the house. Each one has been individually designed and has its own character. However, the bridal suite is definitely my favourite.
It’s luxuriously designed and the furnishings are truly exquisite. The large bay windows look out across the gardens and allow for natural light to flood in. On a day when you want to feel like the most important couple in the world this room truly delivers”.

THE GLORIOUS OUTDOORS
“Our recent garden renovations have included some very unique features. The installation of a beautiful oak pavilion with a Welsh slate roof creates a glorious summer ceremony space for our couples.
Also, a large natural stone terrace has been laid. This leads out from the orangery, the perfect place for cocktails and canapés. Additionally, we have included two new outdoor entertaining areas for garden celebrations. The log shed bar with BBQ and wood-fired pizza oven can be transformed into a gin or cocktail bar and is often the scene of much merry-making. Our fire pit offers guests respite from the dance floor and a cozy place to chat”.
OUR DAZZLING ORANGERY
“Another incredible feature to the property has been our new ultra-luxe Orangery with Art Deco-styled bar. This offers a further choice to our selection of ceremony locations and also provides a spectacular space for your wedding reception, seating up to 150 guests.
What’s so lovely about the Orangery is that it provides a versatile, sophisticated area that can be styled according to your wishes at any time of the year. We recently hosted an Italian-themed wedding with the Orangery as a backdrop, it was just perfect!

“Baddow Park House is an exclusive wedding venue with accommodation sleeping up to 30 guests. All the rooms have been lovingly restored and newly furnished. You will find feature beds, refined fabrics, and lavish marble bathrooms throughout.
The ground floor offers a choice of ceremony locations and many elegant entertaining spaces. Set in the center of the house is the grand staircase. I never tire of seeing our brides gliding down the flower-decked stairs on their big day. It really is such a special moment, it’s hard not to get caught up in all the excitement.
We had the most unbelievably surreal weekend. Everything we ever could have imagined and more – everyone had so much fun and it was such a beautiful day. We’ve had people endlessly raving about the venue, food, and staff.

BRING YOUR PETS
“At Baddow Park House we love dogs and we also know that many of our couples do too! So I understand that leaving your dog at home on such a special day can feel like you’re leaving out an important family member. We are a dog-friendly exclusive use wedding venue. We welcome your pets to be a part of your day.
It’s my experience that bringing your pet can reduce anxious moments before the ceremony. If things get emotional they can certainly lighten the mood. We love making a fuss of wedding day pooches and have helped couple’s dogs walk down the aisle, facilitated dogs being ring bearers, and have provided assistance in planning the couple’s grand entrance, which of course included their four-legged best friend”.
