Are extended weddings available?
At Baddow Park House, we understand the significance of your wedding day and the desire to make the most of your time with us. That’s why we predominantly host weddings on Thursdays and Saturdays, allowing couples to maximize their experience at our beautiful venue.
To ensure that you have ample time to prepare and enjoy the lead-up to your wedding, we offer the option for couples and their guests to stay the night before the big day. This allows you to wake up refreshed and ready to begin your wedding preparations stress-free. Our accommodation is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort and relaxation, ensuring that you have a peaceful night’s sleep before your special day.
Additionally, we provide the opportunity for couples to extend their stay after the wedding. This allows you to savor the beautiful moments and memories with your loved ones in a serene and picturesque setting.
What is exclusive use?
One of the most inquired of all our Wedding Venue FAQs. It is very important to us that your special day is completely exclusive and private to you. We only host one wedding at any time at our private country house. You can be assured that Baddow Park House will be yours, and yours alone throughout your celebrations.
Do you have recommended suppliers?
We have a list of recommended suppliers that we work with at Baddow Park House. Our venue works tirelessly to source the best, award-winning suppliers. Additionally, we do not accept payment from our suppliers to be placed on our list. It’s important to us that we would only recommend those that we would use ourselves.
Are you licensed for civil ceremonies?
Yes, we have numerous options as to where you can have your ceremony!
Will I have a wedding manager?
A dedicated Principal Wedding Consultant will work with you from the outset.
At the heart of Baddow Park House is our exceptional staff, who are dedicated to making your wedding day as seamless and magical as possible. Our professional team understands the importance of personalised service, and they will work closely with you to bring your vision to life. From the initial planning stages to the last dance, our staff will be by your side, ensuring that every detail is carried out flawlessly.
Is there parking at Baddow park house??
There is ample parking at Baddow Park House. Our car park is attended so that your guests are in safe hands.
Do you permit marquee weddings?
If you would like to invite more than 150 guests, then you can do this by hosting your wedding in a marquee. This will be provided by one of our approved suppliers at an additional cost to our venue hire. Additional venue hire fees may be incurred due to the length of time it takes to construct/deconstruct a marquee. This will depend on your requirements.
How much is your initial deposit?
Our initial deposit is 10% of the anticipated cost of your wedding day with us.
Do you have disabled access?
Are you covered by public liability insurance?
Details of public liability insurance cover are available on request.
what time can i arrive at the venue?
The Salon has been designed to create a calm and relaxing space for you and your party to get ready in. Arrive at Baddow Park House on the morning of your wedding (from 7.30am) and have a delicious breakfast delivered from our resident caterers.
To ensure that you have ample time to prepare and enjoy the lead-up to your wedding, we also offer the option for couples to stay the night before the big day. Please speak to us about your requirements.
Can I have refreshments whilst we get ready?
Absolutely! Speak to our resident caterers with regards to pre-ceremony catering. They have fantastic light breakfast and brunch options.
When can my suppliers arrive?
Your suppliers can get to Baddow Park House from 11am. Should they need to arrive earlier, please speak to your Principal Wedding Consultant?
Who will look after me on the day?
We have an experienced team to see you right through your special day. Your very own dedicated Principal Wedding Consultant will be your main point of contact.
Are there any décor restrictions?
We don’t have any specific restrictions. However, we kindly ask that any décor that requires fixing, is done so using temporary methods. This will leave no lasting damage to our beautiful wedding venue’s interior.
Can a celebrant officiate attend?
Please ask us if you would like any recommendations. We will be only too happy to help.
Do I get to taste the food before my wedding day?
We believe that the first time that you try your food shouldn’t be on your wedding day! We host a complimentary private dining experience prior to your special day.
Can I choose my own menu?
One of our most popular wedding venue FAQs, the answer to this is YES! Our talented team of caterers can provide creative sample menus but if there is something that you specifically want to serve, speak to them to find out how they can arrange this.
Are crockery/linen included?
The most elegant dinner service and glassware for your tables are included. We set the highest of standards at Baddow Park House.
What is the maximum amount of guests I can invite to my Wedding Breakfast?
We can seat a maximum of 120 guests on round tables in our stylish glass house orangery or 150 banquet style.
Where is my wedding breakfast held?
Your wedding breakfast will be served in our stunning Orangery. After your wedding breakfast, our team will discretely clear the room ready for your evening’s celebration. The Orangery, with inside bar, is the perfect location to keep your friends and family together.
IS THERE A GOOD CHOICE OF DRINK OPTIONS?
Please speak to your Principal Wedding Consultant for more information. We have many drinks options available and are pleased to offer options bespoke to your requirements. We have many drinks options available.
Do you have your own caterer?
Our exclusive team of resident caterers offer a professional and complete catering service, bringing you not only the best of British and seasonal produce. Their in-depth knowledge of wines and cocktails will truly complement your dining experience.
How many guests can dine?
We can seat a maximum of 120 guests on round tables in our Orangery or 150 banquet style.
Where can my drinks reception be held?
Baddow Park House creates a day truly bespoke to your requirements. We have lots of indoor/outdoor options, from our beautiful Oak Room and grand Hall right through to the front of the house overlooking the parklands or on the terrace in the ornamental gardens. You have many options that will suit every style!
DO YOU OFFER DRY HIRE OF THE VENUE?
How many evening guests can I invite?
We can host up to 250 guests in the evening (including your day guests)
What is your firepit?
Baddow Park House has a bespoke firepit for you and your guests to enjoy. As an upgrade, why not serve marshmallows, the finest hot chocolates, and liqueurs.
Do I have options for the evening food?
Choice is at the heart of our food offerings. We serve grazing board buffets, BBQs and stone-baked pizzas from our Log Shed Bar pizza oven.
Can I hire my own DJ?
Do you allow bands?
Bands are permitted. Please speak to your Personal Wedding Manager for more information.
What time does the evening reception end?
The evening reception ends at midnight. As we are set in a rural location, please advise your guests to book their taxis in advance.
Do you have accommodation for my guests?
We have 11 luxury bedrooms including the Bridal Suite. Our bedrooms are exclusive to you.
The Salon and Cart Lodge can be added if you require additional accommodation.
How many guests can stay?
Depending on the configuration of your guests, you can sleep up to 30 at Baddow Park House. Please speak to your Principal Wedding Consultant for more information. This can potentially increase to 40 with the addition of The Cart Lodge and The Salon.
Do you have any family rooms?
Yes, we have a number of rooms that can be configured to suit your requirements.
Do I have the option to extend my stay?
What time is checkout?
Check out from Baddow Park House is at 10am, but why rush? Speak to us about extending your stay.
We were booked to get married September 2020 but due to covid, we re-scheduled for September 2021. I wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at Baddow Park and especially Kelly – Group Operations Manager, for being so accommodating. We were very worried about the unknowns of having to re-arrange. However, Kelly and the team took that worry away. The process from having a “back up date” to confirming a new date in 21 was seamless, Kelly and her team were ALWAYS available via phone or email for a quick chat or to discuss the day in-depth. The upset of having to move our day never came as we knew the team had it all under control and that they would make our day even more special next year. We can’t wait to get married and celebrate at Baddow Park house with their fantastic team and gorgeous surroundings!
