Finally we do…

Childhood sweethearts, and inseparable from the age of 15, Zoe and Reece embarked on a 5 year long distance relationship while Reece studied to become a Doctor. On his return from University, ready to start a new career and the rest of their lives together, Reece got down on one knee and popped the question. Read about their special day and what they loved most about Baddow Park House Wedding Venue.

A SPECIAL WEDDING VENUE FOR A SPECIAL COUPLE

‘From the moment you arrive and hang your dress in the Bridal suite, to the moment you finish your night roasting marshmallows around the fire pit, every heartbeat of your day is taken care of with such thought, care and attention’.

Dear Baddow Park House

Star
“As soon as you set eyes on Baddow Park House, there is no going back.
Following a turbulent few months and postponing our wedding date for a second time, we came across a newly transformed and renovated venue that was full of character and full of heart. With beautiful rolling grounds perfect on a sunny day, and charming rooms in the house, luxury bedrooms for our guests, and the most breathtaking orangery for our ceremony and wedding breakfast, there wasn’t a box that couldn’t be ticked. The attention to detail blew us away, and the truly incredible time, effort and customer service put into our day from Kelly, Gaynor, Phil, Jo and the team was more than we could have ever wished for”.

THE DRESS

“Upon starting my search for a wedding dress, I really had no idea what style I wanted. After trying a number of styles and dresses at a number of shops, I eventually found myself at the wonderful Bellissima Weddings in the very safe hands of Amelia who helped me to find my dream dress.
As soon as I stepped into the Mori Lee Providence gown, it instantly clicked. A peau-de-soie, box-pleated ballgown with a bardot off-the-shoulder neckline, I truly felt like a princess. Best of all, it even had pockets”.

THE SUIT

“Reece and his groomsmen were so well looked after by the team at Slaters. The gents all looked so smart in their three-piece navy suits, each individually tailored to them, with the Groom in his specially selected Ted Baker suit and brogues.
To give the Groom a more unique look, he selected a waistcoat from Dapper Chaps, all finished off with perfectly colour-matched ties and pocket squares from Swagger & Swoon”.

CAKE AND FAVOURS

“We were so incredibly excited for our guests to finally see the favours we had individually created for each of them for the wedding breakfast. Autumn Sweethearts created bespoke caricatures of each of our guests to act as their name places, with the same design of the Bride & Groom on our wedding stationery and order of service.
Perfectly adorned with a very apt ‘Finally!’ topper, our wedding cake from Sarah at Heart & Soul Cakes was truly delicious. A 4-tier ombre pink buttercream beauty, complete with layers of carrot cake, madagascan vanilla, salted caramel and sicilian lemon, and intricately handmade sugar roses to decorate”.

THE FLOWERS

“Baddow Park House was abloom in soft pinks and lilacs to perfectly match our bridesmaids dresses, and tone in beautifully with the venue’s immaculately kept gardens already adorned with roses. Megan at The Willows Flowers filled the venue with sweet avalanche roses, memory lane roses, cream vendela roses, white gypsophilia, and small & large leaf eucalyptus.
From a moongate arch taking centre stage in our ceremony, to the beautifully adorned staircase in the entrance hall, Megan created the most breathtaking floral arrangements that left our guests complimenting them all day long”.

FINISHING TOUCHES

“Striking balloons from Bubblegum Balloons beautifully lined our wedding aisle. Spilling outside onto the terrace with white and silver tasselled balloons, they provided the wonderful backdrop to our drinks reception, and their statement ‘Mr’ & ‘Mrs’ balloons providing us with the opportunity for one of our favourite photos from the day’.
‘The brilliant Essex Party Kingdom provided us with the very apt ‘Finally We Do’ neon sign to welcome all of our guests as soon as they walked into the entrance hall at Baddow Park House. So spectacular, it even caught the eye of our Registrar, who thought it was so special she added an extra line to our vows to ensure we said the immortal words “We Do”.

WHAT DO YOU REMEMBER MOST ABOUT YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Star
“Your wedding day goes so incredibly quickly, you have to soak up and enjoy every single moment as it is gone in a flash. Having postponed our wedding twice, it really was a long-awaited but most special day for us both, but because of this at times it felt like it wasn’t real! It felt on many occasions like we were watching a wedding, maybe on TV or in a film, it really felt like a fairytale and the team at Baddow Park House were instrumental in making every part of our day as special as possible”.

WHAT IS YOUR MOST VALUABLE PIECE OF WEDDING ADVICE?

Star
“If you are considering getting married at Baddow Park House, be assured that you will have the most magical day of your lives. Our advice would be not to panic and to not let the wedding planning become overwhelming, especially as you will be so carefully looked after and guided every step of the way by Gaynor, Kelly and the Baddow Park team. No question or query is too big or too small. You will have the day of your dreams, and your guests will enjoy every minute of it too, walking away having experienced the most incredible food and service.
I’ve never known so many guests compliment a Wedding Venue so highly, it really is truly unlike any other venue”.

“From the biggest renovations, such as the extraordinary Orangery or the newly built Salon, to the smallest of touches, such as the luxury glassware or the incredible scent of White Company filling every room, the phrase ‘above and beyond’ epitomises everything Baddow Park House stands for.
We can’t thank you enough for giving us our dream wedding day in such a beautiful venue”.
