Let things happen naturally. Having the first dance early in order to try and force people into the dance floor is a big no-no. As is announcing or requesting that people get up and dance. Our best advice is to enjoy the experience, let things flow organically and that same relaxed energy will filter through to the guests – it will result in a more enjoyable day.

Plan ahead… years ahead!
I often receive sheepish emails from apologetic couples enquiring about their wedding day 2 or 3 years in the future. Don’t feel ashamed to plan early! Most photographers and videographers can only take on one wedding per day and once that date is booked, it’s hugely unlikely to become available again in the future. Prioritise the suppliers that are important to you and get them booked up as early as possible to avoid being disappointed when you finally get round to emailing them!

do your research for photographers, ask to see full galleries and look for previous client recommendations if you’re unsure whether an offer is too good to be true. Also, trust your suppliers! If you’ve picked the right ones then they will have your back and do everything they can to make your wedding day the best it can possibly be! Relax and enjoy it!
