They are what really give the place its unique personality. 

Without them, we’d have a beautiful venue in disarray! They make the place run like clockwork and guarantee your wedding day is exactly how you dream.

Some of the team work tirelessly behind the scenes, ensuring Baddow Park House is spotless and utterly perfect. While others work directly with our wedding couples, always on hand to give you the most idyllic wedding imaginable.

One such member of our staff is our Wedding Coordinator, Stephanie!

Meet Stephanie Callanan, Our Wedding Coordinator

Stephanie is the Wedding Coordinator here at Baddow Park House. She has years of experience in the wedding industry (16, in fact!) and also has experience planning and organising all kinds of events such as birthday parties, baby showers and funerals.

She has been working with us for a year, and her knowledge and enthusiasm have made a huge impact. She is a greatly appreciated member of the Baddow Park family.

We grabbed a cuppa with Stephanie and asked her some questions to help you get to know her and her role better.

What Does Your Role As Wedding Coordinator Involve, And How Do You Contribute To The Weddings At Baddow Park House?

As a Wedding Coordinator, my job is to ensure our couples remain stress-free throughout their wedding experience. Right from the very first planning meeting through till you become newlyweds, I am there to reassure, help and do whatever you need to make your day go smoothly.

The planning and guidance process is different for every couple, it greatly depends on how much or how little you want to be involved. For some couples, I use my experience in the industry to help guide them in the right direction with any decisions they need help making. For others, however, they just need help to put it in place. I take the lead from you.

When you book your wedding at Baddow Park House, you get my full attention as and when you require it. I am available for anything you need help with, whether it’s décor or mother-of-the-bride outfit designers, table plans or invitation etiquette… whatever it is you need, you have me to call upon.

Why Do You Do What You Do?

My job is a huge part of my life. In fact, it’s not my job – it’s my career. Being part of planning the most important day of somebody’s life is the most rewarding feeling. And witnessing each couple’s wedding day come together to make it everything they dreamed of is such a privilege.

There is no emotion like when you meet the couple the next day. Seeing them in their wedding bliss, walking down the stairs the next morning to begin life as a married couple. I’ve been told “Steph, you’ve been like family to us since day one.” and that’s how it feels. Like I’m more than staff – I’m connected to the wonder of the day and all the people involved.

It’s a feeling I can never describe. That’s why I love doing what I do at Baddow Park House.

What Does A Day At Work Look Like For You?

A typical working day for me during the wedding period is more of a day and a half, really!

The ‘working day’ at Baddow Park House starts the night before the wedding when I check the couples and their families in and ensure everything is in place for them to have the perfect night’s sleep. It’s my job to make sure we’ve done everything we possibly can so you wake up relaxed and stress-free on the morning of your wedding.

I aim to make you feel like Baddow Park is your home from home, just with a little added wedding magic!

I am there for every minute of the day to keep everything to task. I monitor suppliers, I help your guests with any queries they may have and I maintain a seamless, stress-free wedding from the “I Dos” through to the partying till midnight, right until the following morning, when I say my goodbyes and check you out.

What’s Your Favourite Memory Of Working At Baddow Park House?

When I first came to Baddow Park House for my interview, I automatically fell in love with the house. My first thoughts were “I’m getting this job no matter what!” 

It was the same feeling that you get when you meet your soulmate, tried on your perfect wedding dress or found your ideal house.

I was immediately made to feel like family, and that’s what I love about being a Wedding Coordinator here. Couples get the same feeling when they walk through the front door – it’s a feeling you’ll never forget.

What Do You Think Makes A Great Wedding?

The best weddings are those that manage to encapture the extraordinary personalities of the couple and roll them in together with the family and friends and all the love to make the most memorable of days.
